Access to healthy food is something many of us take for granted, but for thousands of individuals and families in BC, it’s a daily challenge. Through our Cavallo Cares initiative, we’re proud to support the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) and its impactful work in improving food access and sustainability across the region.
The GVFB goes beyond distributing food, they’re rethinking how food donations can be more sustainable and nutritious. By rescuing surplus produce and freeze-drying fruits like apples and peaches, they transform what might have gone to waste into healthy snacks for daycare and community programs. Their innovative approach not only helps reduce food waste but also ensures that quality ingredients reach those who need them most.
