🚀 Building AI Agents at the Databricks
Our teams joined 80+ attendees at a Databricks hosted AI Hackathon for a day of hands-on innovation with AI Agents!
🔨 What Our Teams Built:
Team 1: Data Governance Agent
Our team developed an automated Data Governance Agent. This agent directly consumes the data contract, the source of truth between clients and developers, and automates key data governance tasks such as metadata updates, PII masking, and tagging.
✅The impact? Rather than relying on Databricks to auto-generate column descriptions (which can hallucinate with nuanced industry-specific data), our agent ensures accuracy and consistency by pulling the correct data governance rules from the data contract. This approach significantly reduces manual effort and mitigates the risk of errors, improving data quality and compliance. This solution could be extended to tagging policies in preview, further enhancing its scalability and flexibility across a range of governance needs.
Team 2: Market Intelligence Agent
Our second team created a multi-agent system using Bakehouse dataset (Cookies Dataset DAIS 2024) from Databricks Marketplace and Agent Bricks’ Multi-Agent Supervisor:
– Extraction Agent: Structured product reviews from raw feedback
– Specialized Genies: Analyzed sales data and product feedback
– Main Supervisor: Synthesized insights into actionable market strategy recommendations
✅ This results for a comprehensive market intelligence that combines sales trends with customer sentiment, enabling data-driven strategy decisions without manual analysis across multiple data sources.
The Experience: Beyond the code, this event perfectly balanced focused collaboration with community building, networking over lunch while exploring real-world AI applications.
